Tis the holiday season; a time to reflect, appreciate, and celebrate with your family and friends. Many times, when I am providing insightful messages from your loved ones in spirit, they remind you to enjoy the holidays. The death of a significant family member, or friend, is sad and can result in grief and depression.

Your loved ones in spirit, remind you to observe the holidays, and enjoy every day of your precious life. Often, I meet with clients that stop celebrating the holidays because of the anguish of the loss of a family member. Spirit communicated regularly, that if you put yourself in their place and you would want your family and friends to share holiday cheer and to be optimistic. Spirit does not want you to be miserable, they prefer for you to realize all that is gifted to you each and every day.

Each day and every holiday, you have the choice to bring joy and happiness to yourself, and those you love. Spirit reminds you that the greatest way to honor them,  is to be happy and spread joy to all those around you. Laughter is truly the best medicine and it enhances your awareness so that you can be more sensitive to feeing their presence.

May I encourage you to make your loved ones in spirit, be a part of your holiday season. Here is a list of some things you can do to celebrate your love for them.

1. Use the monies that would have been used for your loved one in spirit, for their holiday gift, as a donation to a charity, food bank, or foundation in your loved one’s name.
2. Volunteer at a nonprofit in your loved ones name like a soup kitchen, meals on wheels, Salvation Army, etc…
3. Set a place at the holiday table for your loved one to acknowledge their presence
4. Write a holiday card to your loved one in spirit and share your gratitude and appreciation for the times you spend together
5. Light a candle next to their photo and feel their presence
6. Purchase a toy that your loved one in spirit would like and gift it to a child in need
7. Serve their favorite foods items for your holiday dinner
8. Allow each family member to share a happy memory with your loved one in spirit at the dinner table
9. Purchase an special holiday item, like a tree ornament each year in their memory
10. Place a toy from their childhood under the tree or
